Hi All,

We are currently using the QDCXLATE function to convert the EBCDIC to ASCII
conversion using Type as QASCII and send the ASCII data to an external
interface (Non IBMi Product).

But I could see some irregularities which IBMi already notified in the
below link

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/iis/11.7?topic=tables-conversion-table-irregularities

So, currently in the RPG program before conversion I am going to scan and
replace characters accordingly so that the conversion happens correctly.

For example ! in EBCDIC will be converted as ] in ASCII and also | in
EBCDIC will be converted as ! in ASCII. So if a text WOW! needs to
converted into ASCII, instead of sending WOW! in QDCXLATE function I will
send WOW|.

Could you please let me know whether this is the only solution to address
this issue or do we have some functions readymade available with IBMi to
take care of this?

Regards,
Suren
