Hi,

this is quite easy.

// Prototype
dcl-pr hex2bin extproc('cvtch');
bin char(32767) options(*varsize);
hex char(65535) const options(*varsize);
len int(10) value;
end-pr;

// Call
hex2bin(targetCharField : '04A1060A' : 4);

And that's it - so the first operand is the target - the second is a char string containing the hexadecimal digits. The third operand is the length of the target variable in characters.

Hi,

I need to convert a character string to hex, which I don't think can be
done with "cvtch".

For example, if input string is '04A1060A' (8 characters) I need the output
string to be x'04A1060A' (4 characters).

Any ideas?

TIA
