I have a requirement to have a socket client running on the iSeries –
communicating with a sortation machine running the socket Server using
JSON-RPC.
Searching online - I found Scott Klement’s website (
https://www.scottklement.com) with a very helpful write up titled - "RPG
IV Sockets Tutorial" which I understand to be an older tutorial.
Upon further reading I can see that Scott has updated/enhanced the utility
service programs with Timing Out Sockets (
http://www.scottklement.com/rpg/socktimeout/SocketUtilities.zip ) and
error handling but I cannot find the enhanced versions of the client
example programs utilising the enhanced routines i.e CLIENTEX1 and
CLIENTEX2 ?
Can anyone provide the updated example socket client programs i.e.
CLIENTEX1 and CLIENTEX2 please.

Thanks
Dev
