Trying to see if there is a way to create an RPG program object with the "CRTBNDRPG" or "CRTSQLRPGI OBJTYPE(*PGM)" and at the same time specify the "CRTPGM" parameter "OPTION(*DUPPROC *DUPVAR)".

It doesn't appear that the CRTPGM OPTION() parameters are available on CRTBNDRPG or CRTSQLRPGI.

Unfortunately, the only way we can create our programs is by using a 2-step creation process:

1. CRTRPGMOD or CRTSQLRPGI TYPE(*MODULE)
2. CRTPGM OPTION(*DUPPROC *DUPVAR)

The goal is to create a select set of programs in a specific ACTGRP and were looking at using Compiler Directives to conditionally assign the activation group. But specifying the activation group in the H-Spec/Ctl-opt doesn't do us any good unless we are creating the program object via CRTBNDRGP or CRTSQLRPGI.

(And yes, I agree, cleaning up our service programs to get rid of duplicate procedure names and variables would be the ideal solution)

Thanks,

Paul
