I ran the calculation on three diff calculators (my PC, my phone, my TI-35)
and they all gave the answer as 4. After reading your post, I did the calc
on paper and got 3.99... Too weird.

The results are correct.

If you had coded the first as:

Eval(R) x * (y / z) ;

You would have got the expected result of 4. But the actual result of the
calc is 3.999999... and in the absence of rounding that gives 3.

In the second case you are actually doing ( x * y ) / z which gives 28 /
7 = 4.
