Why even spool up joblogs anymore?
We changed system value QLOGOUTPUT to *PND and love that much more.
Instead of having to chop up a spool file it's much easier to use this instead:

If I just have to have a spool file (like for sending off to IBM) then it's easy to do DSPJOBLOG JOB(...) OUTPUT(*PRINT)
Doesn't matter if the job is ended or not.
Just as long as you get it within the time you set in GO CLEANUP.
