I encountered an issue where I couldn't compile an established RPG program...
I received error RNF3084: Name ADPHN@ in external description ADRESSAD is not renamed; external name is ignored.

This was in the d-specs
D AddrAD e ds extname('ADRESSAD')

Since the last time this program was compiled, I had added this to a copy member:
dcl-ds DSADRS extname('ADRESSAD') end-ds;

Can you not have two Data Structures defined in the same program referencing the same Physical file?

In this case, I removed the definition for data structure AddrAD, and replaced it with DSADRS in the calculations. Is that the only resolution?

TIA
Greg
