What do you actually mean by pull the master and not the UTF8 branch?
(bearing in mind that I'll need to translate your answer to French :-) )

There is a compile flag in the ?makefile? and it works on 7.1. But be sure
you pull the master and not the UTF8 branch. The later have 7.3 compliant
features.
