You have to put the INSERT into the from CLAUSE of a SELECT-Statement.
Something like this:
Select YourId
From Final Table( Insert YourTable (Col1, Col2, ... ColN)
Select XCol1, XCol2, ... xColN
From AnoutherTable
....)
Order By Input Sequence
The SELECT statement itself can be embedded in a Cursor, so you can loop
through the Idies.

Subject: IDENTITY_VAL_LOCAL() and multiple insert.
I often use IDENTITY_VAL_LOCAL() to get the identity of the row just
inserted: it works.
How can I get all the identities after a multiple insert?
