Thank you all for offering your help to me. Bruce, I joined the Cobol400-L mailing list, for what it's worth.

The iRPGUnit project is available as an I Project at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/irpgunit/

After having pushed the project to your IBM I, you can compile it with the following REXX command:

STRREXPRC SRCMBR(A_INSTALL) SRCFILE(QBUILD) PARM('INSTALL iProjectLibName')

Or, if you want to compile with debug instructions:

STRREXPRC SRCMBR(A_INSTALL) SRCFILE(QBUILD) PARM('INSTALL iProjectLibName LIST')

Cobol test suites are compiled with RUCRTCBL and executed with RUCALLTST.

I greatly appreciate any help and feedback you can supply.

Thomas.

I can assure you that joining the i COBOL mailing list will not
(unfortunately) inundate you with email. I would also enjoy helping you out though my COBOL is a bit rusty.

Bear with me. I know this is off-topic. But do you know Cobol? I
enhanced iRPGUnit to support Cobol and I am looking for somebody who
wants to translate "TEMPLATE.rpgle" to "TEMPLATE.cblle". I do not know
Cobol and I do not want to discuss the details why I enhanced iRPGUnit
here, because it will be boring for RPG developers.

Honestly I do not want to join a Cobol mailing list, because I watch
enough mailing lists. But maybe I have to do so some time.

Feel free to contact me at my private email address "thomas.raddatz" at "

The iRPGUnit beta (zip) is available at:

Last I checked (within the last year or so), Hawkeye has a really nice
RDi Pathfinder plug-in. Years ago, they were really good at
referencing field names in COBOL. Something our current product sorely lacks.

Not sure how up-to-date that tooling is considering that the front
page proudly announces "iSeries"!

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [SUSPECTED SPAM] Cross Reference Tools

I am looking for cross reference tools for the IBM i for my company.

I have worked with Turnover, currently Aldon Rocket and I worked
with a
product called Total.

Does anyone have a list of cross reference vendors that are still
active.

Is Total still out there?

Thanks.
