User comes from a subfile screen in this display file and then selects an
order which takes them to the record format where the window would popup.

The only way to leave this record display is to F10 update otherwise it
just displays the same screen again but the new selected message doesn't
get dropped into the display field.

There is no error message created.

1st thing that comes to mind, is that the WINDOW record is not displayed

Subject: Display file field

I have a display file which has multiple subfile, record formats.
I'm having an issue with one of the record formats where I'm displaying a
field and the user hits
F10 to update the record they are working on and it pops a window where
they need to select a value to drop in the field.
User hits enter and the program then goes back to main menu.

If the user goes back in and takes F6 it pops the same selection window in
case they need to change the value of the field but in this case the main
screen is redisplayed but the value of the field doesn't change.

I've tried to CLEAR the display field before the popup but that doesn't
seem to work.

The popup is a called program which returns the selected field value.

Out of ideas on how to change the display field value on an F6.

Regards
Michael
