Without nowing more it is difficult to say something.
... but I could imagine a temporary index is going to be built or you are
missing indexes (may be also temporary indexes MTIs which were created on
your current system)
You should analyze your Query with Visual Explain or have a look into the
IBM i Performance Center in ACS.

Subject: program running slowly after tr8
I applied PTF's and TR8 to my test box last week.
Now I have an embedded sqlrpgle program that now runs hours on my test box
and 5-10 minutes on my production box.
I'm not sure if the PTF's have anything to do with it, but it's the same
code on both boxes.
Even just running the initial sql of the pgm in STRSQL, there is a
noticeable difference in how fast the results are displayed.
Anybody know of any issues that I may need to look into?
