I have converted the program, and the program compiles successfully, but I'm getting a 'Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: or org.apache.poi.xssf.usermodel.XSSFWorkbook.
When running book = new_XSSFWorkbook();
Any ideas.

Older Excel formats, with extensions like .xls could only support 65K rows. You need to generate with the newer format. So, assuming you have some newer service programs, you could do something like Book = New_XSSFWorkbook(); where you were doing Book = New_HSSFWorkbook(); before.
You'll then need to convert most of the hssf references to ss within you code to support the new calls, but, that may get you started.

I am using hssfr4 procedures to create spreadhsheets. I have been using for years. I believe I have the latest version, although I'm not quite sure how to verify, but the comments reference using XLSX I have the jar files listed

I'm running into max row issues. Receiving Java exception "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid row number
(65536) outside allowable range (0..65535)" when calling method "createRow"
with signature "(I)Lorg.apache.poi.hssf.usermodel.HSSFRow;" in class "org.apache.poi.hssf.usermodel.HSSFSheet".
We are using Using Excel 2016.
Is there any way to overcome this limitation?
