Hi Niels

I'm sure you know what I'm going to say and ask here, but for the benefit of the archive, right?

Isn't the problem that the PTFs for RPG and other things are not part of the TR PTF number? There are hardware and firmware updates tied to the TR PTF, not for RPG or Db2, as I understand it. The key phrase is "Enhancements timed with Technology Refresh 1" on https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/1164034

That page has a link - https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/1106409 - to the RPG Cafe article - which gives some details.

But none of that helps, right? Can we condition a define on a PTF number?

I'm just asking lots of questions - apologies that it doesn't give a solution!

Is there a way to determine if a TR is installed so a given prototype can

My use case is to overload some procedures to give a unified interface.
Today I can do a /IF DEFINED(*V7R4M0), however the "overload" feature is
also available if you have 7.3 with current TR.

How to get around this?

/IF DEFINED(*V7R4M0)
Dcl-PR jx_Set Pointer overload (
jx_SetBool :
jx_SetNum :
jx_SetInt :
jx_SetDate:
jx_SetTime:
jx_SetTimeStamp:
jx_SetStr
);
/ENDIF
