I don't think moving the objects with cause the MCH3402 because the system knows where the object is. I always do
movobj prodlib/pgmname *pgm oldpgm
movobj newpgm/pgmname *pgm newpgm
At least I don't seem to have any issues when replacing programs.

Hi Paul,
Yes it will/might... because some users might still be using the object from the "normal" library.
Therefore you need downtime knowing that no one is still using the version from the normal library.
