You said "connection to an sql server" so is the jdbc connection to the
sql server? Because you also said "pulls records from the as400" so the
connection is to the as400. And rnx0301 is probably an RPG exception.

Hence, I'm confused...

If you are using JT400, make sure you have the latest version and
perhaps figure out how to turn on logging.
