In my experience, when a C string is required as a parameter, where this
"string" contains readable characters, and a terminating null character,
I'd rather code the prototype for this parameter as:
D PW_BUF * VALUE OPTIONS(*STRING)
Additionally, I'd load the PW_BUF as:
C EVAL PW_BUF = %TRIM(PW_BUF) + X'00'
The compiler is supposed to append a X'00' but including yours as a safety measure won't harm your execution.
