I don't see anything interesting on learning something that is OBSOLETE
why bother wasting time if obsolete. For me is not about money is something
personal you want to learn something that will not help you or any other in
the future just the employer that you are working for?, besides giving the
wrong message that they should keep their business on something that maybe
who knows later will give them a big problem, if it is not already?. No I
would suggest do not even think about it, BUT AGAIN IS ABOUT ME. There are
a lot more interesting things to learn on the IBM I.

What's wrong with stating "I did it for the money" or "I did it out of
curiosity", or even both? Learning something (even obsolete) is not "lost"
time. There's always experience to gain.
