No such thing as the AS/400 these days.

For green-screen on the IBM i, the alternative to DDS-coded Display File objects (*FILE DSPF), (including subfiles) is User Interface Manager (UIM) coded Panel Group objects (*PNLGRP)

Most IBM displays are *PNLGRPs, including List screens, (e.g. WRKxxxxx displays). Take a look at the Application Display Programming manual, Part 3 (Chapter 15 on) for more information.

General advice would be to move away from green-screen and provide a web interface. Many ways to achieve this - too numerous to mention.
