Before using procedures, if I wanted to stop a program dead in its tracks, I
set on H1 and did a return. However, inside of a procedure, the return only
does a return from the procedure and does not exit the program. I tried
sending a *ESCAPE message using QMHSNDPM but the call stack counter has to
change with the number of nested procedures, unless there is something I am
missing.

What is the proper way to handle this type of "get me out of here" error
without adding return codes and IF statements for each procedure?
