Hello Gio,

Sometime happend the user close 5250 emulation window, without confirm
data in the screen; i would like to know if there is a way to catch this
situation so that i can "adjust" my database; or better inhibit this
possibility

No, this is not possible in a programmatic way. Given the "forms" nature of 5250, the entered data *only* exists in the 5250 emulator's RAM until the user presses enter.

This is the same as when you fill out a web form in a browser window and close it: The server will never get back your data. It's gone.

The only possibility is to present the user with "are you sure you want to close" option of most emulators, or maybe the emulator can be tweaked to press enter by itself before quitting. I'd not go that way: There's a chance that a "you really want to delete" inquiry will be answered by that facility, while the user closes the session because of panicking.

Otherwise, users shall take "lost data" as a chance to learn what to do not. There's no final technical solution against users' wrongdoings. Teach your users. :-)
