Hi Scott,
I remember there was a situation where the SQL Pre-compiler information was inserted at the wrong place (... but I don't know which PTF fixed it).
The situation where it happened occurred, if there were no global D or F specs or only D or F specs hidden within copy members.
I circumvented the problem at that time (and continued to do it with every embedded SQL source), I just defined a dummy variable in the global D specs.
May it will also help with your current problem.

Subject: Embedded SQL Precompiler
Hi All,
Does anyone know the right/best way to get the latest PTFs for the embedded SQL precompiler for RPG?
I'm already up-to-date on the latest group and cume PTFs for IBM i 7.4. (Including the ST1 group)
The problem I'm having is that the precompiler is inserting code in the wrong place in the program. It'll insert definitions, for example, after the main procedure and before subprocedures, where they aren't allowed. It makes it really hard to use this precompiler for anything.
I'm hoping the latest PTFs will fix it...?
