Another view same issue:

You do not need to use the "Rundll32 shell32,ShellExec_RunDLL" prefix

Just pass the path+file name and the user's Windows OS will open the file
alright.

STRPCCMD PCCMD('"\\192.168.0.100\PDF\MYFLR\MYDOC_1141521.pdf")
PAUSE(*NO)').

Obviously the problem is that Windows didn't keep the login
information.? It doesn't remember it permanently (unless you tell it to.)

You can use the "net use" PC command to set the Windows login
information.? You can use that from your script to make sure it's ready
to launch the Xls (or PDF, which appears to be what you're actually
trying to launch).

Hi all

I'm try to open from RPG a Xls file stored in Ifs with this command :
STRPCCMD PCCMD('rundll32 shell32,ShellExec_RunDLL
"\\192.168.0.100\PDF\MYFLR\MYDOC_1141521.pdf") PAUSE(*NO)'). Yesterday i
tested my program and it was ok; today i have retried and

It don't works (i don't know why), then after some test, i have opened
the
folder from windows explorer. Windows have asked AS400's user and
password
and then showed the folder with MYDOC_1141521.pdf. After that i have
retried
to run my program and now the STRPCCMD PCCMD('rundll32
shell32,ShellExec..
works fine and open the document.

Questions:

1. Which could the problem ?

2. Possible that until i don't open MYFLR via windows, STRPCCMD
PCCMD('rundll32 shell32,ShellExec.. Don't works

3. Which workaround ?

Thanks in advance
