I tend to use yajl_copyBuf() into an RPG variable. Recently I do a lot of yajl_writeStdout() since I'm normally responding to a CGI request. I don't think yajl_writeStdout () existed when I started using YAJL.

Subject: YAJL procedures
I need to get a very small JSON data set into varchar(1024) variable...
Just wondering which YAJL procedure is the easiest to use?
yajl_getBuf()
yajl_copyBuf()
yajl_copyBufStr()
For whatever reason, I've always just written it to the IFS before posting.
