Ok, you put the Remove just after the Read display or ExFmt so the new errors with stay there on the next Read display exactly like the System does it

Joe: the ERASE keyword with the negated indicator for OVERLAY did work.

Francois: removing the message from the program's message queue is precisely what I didn't want to do.
