It must be a PTF issue. I'm on V7R3M0 and it fails in both ACS SQL Script and 5250 Session STRSQL.
Time for PTFs.

No I don's use any SQL Option's I used the following SQL with 2 Tables ITEM with mulitple Text-Lines.
It works fine. I'm on V7R3M0 with the latest PTF
It Works both in ACS SQL Script and 5250 Session STRSQL
