That is what I am doing. I am copy the exact same statement that RPGLE is using and attempting to execute it in STRSQL. The exact same statement. Why it behaves differently is a mystery.

I think I have had this same issue in the past. If it is as I recall, it has to do with the SQL Preprocessor. The way I got around it was to make the statement dynamically prepared. I made a SQL statement with all of the selection criteria and the quotes with the LIKEs. I seem to recall that was the issue. I think the issue had to do with the quotes not being interpreted as you think they are being interpreted.

I remember removing the LIKEs in the RPG program, and data was returned.
It was awhile ago, but I think that is how I got around this.
