Re: How to convert ascii value to hex in RPGLE

If you were to look at the presentation Mark referred you to and reviewed
it you'll find iconv() examples at the end of the presentation. The
examples are using EBCDIC CCSID 37 and UNICODE CCSID 1200, but should be
sufficient to follow and you then replace the CCSID values with the
appropriate EBCDIC Hungarian CCSID and ASCII Hungarian CCSID for your
specific situation.

Related to Hungarian (and many, many other national languages) the
presentation doesn't list every possibility. But googling HUNGARIAN EBCDIC
CCSID will lead you to CCSIDs 320 and 254 (two incompatible Hungarian
CCSIDs which I pointed out to you on Oct 31 under your subject "How to
convert hungarian characters in plain english using rpgle program" and to
which you never replied/answered my questions). Googling HUNGARIAN ASCII
CCSID will likewise get you to CCSID 852 (Central European languages such
as Basnian, Croatia, Czech, Hungarian, and a list of others commonly
referred to as Latin-2).
