No, I wasn't.  I would never recommend lying to an auditor.  I was saying to describe it as a UUID in concept.  Simply a unique number, not a sequence.  Actually, this is better than a UUID although I doubt that most auditors understand that a UUID is actually NOT guaranteed to be a unique number.

My point is that the fact that you're generating the unique number using a counter does NOT mean it has to be described as a sequence.
