I opened an RFE to bring this functionality to V7.2.
I just posted this response to the two original RFEs for the PSDS enhancement:
"In general, most RPG enhancements are not made available for every supported release, or every target release. However, since this particular enhancement only affects the RPG runtime, if it were only available for the 7.3 runtime, it would work for programs compiled for TGTRLS(V7R2M0) when running on a 7.3 system, but it would not work when the programs actually run on a 7.2 system. Therefore, IBM will also provide a PTF for 7.2. However, since 7.1 is out of service, no PTF will be provided for 7.1."
