Hi Lynelle,

After you changed your CCSID did you rebuild the WSDL2RPG modules?
The 65535 ccsid is an old CCSID, they have newer CCSIDs for handing
larger character classes like UTF-8.

Hi,

Just like to confirm if WSDL2RPG tool could include Chinese Characters in
its XML request?

We're currently using WSDL2RPG tool in an environment with 65535 ccsid.
Data from Physical File with 37 ccsid are passed to WSDL2RPG stub programs.
Said PF includes Chinese characters. Thus, resulting data creates an
unreadable characters (with shift-in and shift-out characters).

Tried different ccsids on these procedures along side CHGJOB CCSID
commands but still didn't work:
HTTP_SetCCSIDs(935: 1208)
HTTP_xml_SetCCSIDs(1388 : 1208);
HTTP_SetCCSIDs(getPostCcsid(): HTTP_ASCII);

The server does accept Chinese characters though (as per testing in SOAP).

Our last resort would be to use SQL function for XML. However, we'd like
to know first if it's really not feasible with WSDL2RPG tool as we've liked
its ease and have been using it for years.

Thanks,
Lynelle
