This is the RPG list, and you're writing to RPG host variables
(because the procedure is being written in RPG), so... why wouldn't
you just, y'know, put the decision logic in RPG? Anything that is
calling the procedure doesn't know or care what mix of SQL and RPG is
inside the procedure.
