The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Figured out that SEU is giving me an error that compiles okay.
Unless working on very old code, SEU's syntax checker cannot be trusted.
Turn off the syntax checking for each source type that you work with:
STRSEU
F15
Syntax checking: N
At this point, one can only trust the compiler's error flagging.
I know what it's like to work with a... a frugal company. I survived two
rounds of layoffs / outsourcing. With that experience, I have some
advice I hope you would consider.
Inform (not preach/beg/demand) your management chain that SEU is no
longer updated by IBM. It is frozen in time at the 6.1 level. They
recommend we use RDi.

To me, and I'm not preaching, it's a matter of professional ethics that
I keep my management informed about the state of our ecosystem. Yes, I
have been in the situation where I was unable to persuade management to
alter the situation, but I don't consider the exercise of professional
pride to be a waste of time. I've let them know when things change, and
made recommendations. It's management's job to... well, manage. I might
not agree with their decisions, but at least I have the satisfaction of
knowing that I did the right thing, and gave them all the information
they need to make those decisions.
