For new source members I almost always right-click on a role-model
member and choose Copy. Then Paste, which will ask for the new name
since otherwise it would be a duplicate. At that point the new member is
only on my PC, but the first compile pushes the member and then its
business as usual.

in a filter, and from there create a member. That puts a blank member in
the source file. Then Edit/Save I have never used "Save as".
