If you have openssl installed you can do it in Qshell.

openssl dgst -sha256 < /kevin/102FC74.doc

What I really need is a way to SHA256 hash a file.
Has anyone done this recently? Maybe modifying Scott's cipher program?

I've a need to either change or find a program that does what Scott
Klement's program MD5R4 that creates a SHA1 hash to SHA256. Anybody
know what can be done with Scott's program to make it work?
