In RPG you can also use FEOD with the N extender which will guarantee the
record is passed to the OS but avoids the slow down caused by FEOD or
FRCRATIO(1) making the OS wait while the data is written to disk.
I have not tested to ensure that the RRN is updated in this case but I'm
pretty sure it would be.
