RE: Regex INSTR, REPLACE, SUBSTRING

Well if you want to use the SQL REGEXPR_* functions then no because its SQL. But it can be as simple as doing a exec sql values( regexpr_*() ); or you can put these in your selects but the member type must still be SQLRPGLE. Why is there a hang up on coding a SQLRPGLE member?

I have an RPGLE service program that does regex matching (from an old article in iProDev mag). SQL offers regex INSTR, REPLACE and SUBSTRING. Is that something that can be done practically from RPGLE, without SQL?
