Using Binding directories is very limited and might be usefull only for addtional external libraries. An additional drawback is, that you don't see, which binding directory was used before - and it might have changed.
There are some cases you would have to bind the same module in one case by copy, in another case by reference, this can't be done by binding directory in a safe way.
Best is, as Buck recommended, to embedd the detailed compile command in the source and run it by one of the preprocessors.
