BINGO

I thought I read somewhere that DECIMAL and NUMERIC were somewhat
interchangeable Well - I guess not - 10 dope laps to me on this one

I want to thank EVERYONE who replied on this

I said that because, yes, I had read it in one IBM reference. But,
I rechecked the data types under the CREATE TABLE reference and it states
that DECIMAL is packed-decimal while NUMERIC is zoned-decimal.

MUCH appreciated for all your help

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
