Do you have an example of checking an email address against a regular

All my regex had been done using SQL. It's handy that I can test it in my
SQL client and then just copy it into my source code.

FWIW: The SQL REGEXP_(COUNT|INSTR|REPLACE|SUBSTR) functions are pretty easy
to use and have reasonable examples.
