I don't think it's a good idea...needs
Especially in the use case of only including 1 or 2 prototypes...
Maybe today you only need 1 or 2 in one place...but some other place
a dozen...name
then you've got
/define PROC1
/define PROC2
/define PROC3
/define PROC4
/define PROC5
/define PROC6
/define PROC7
/define PROC8
/define PROC9
/define PROC10
/define PROC11
/define PROC12
/copy PROTOSRC,MYSRVPGM
/undefine PROC1
/undefine PROC2
/undefine PROC3
/undefine PROC4
/undefine PROC5
/undefine PROC6
/undefine PROC7
/undefine PROC8
/undefine PROC9
/undefine PROC10
/undefine PROC11
/undefine PROC12
Now say I need to add a call to another existing proc...what was that
again? No way to see it in my program..no
What's worse...you open up PROTOSRC,MYSRVPGM and the outline view shows
prototypes!...
I understand what you're saying but I don't think it is as bad as
all that. You don't always have to undefine everything. If you need to
see the name of another prototype all you have to do is right-click on the
INCLUDEd member name and select BROWSE. But, that's OK, I give up the
idea.
Sincerely,
Dave Clark
