I find it mildly annoying, but understandable. If binder source were
obligatory the description could be taken from the binder source member,
but alas, it is not. If a service program is created from one module then
*MODULE would make sense, but not all service programs are.

Anyway, I've alwayse used RDi or PDM user options that operate either on
the binder source or on the (in our case only) module and take the
description from that member.

For years I've been irritated that the TEXT parameter on the CRTSRVPGM
command defaults to *BLANK.

How about *FIRST, *LAST (first or last module list) or *MODULE (match
module text) or *EXPORT (match the binder language) so at least there's

an

option to take the text description from the service program?

Would that help anyone else?
