Niels you are right. Ovrprtf to pdf and cpysplf to stream file have the
same effect. I use cpysplf strategy because my programs decide what to do
with the spool file only after its closure.

Thanks for having remind me of it.

Hi

There's a third option: cpysplf command using *stmf destination.

This way a spool file is converted in a pdf file and written on IFS;
later
on you can pick up pdf file from IFS through explorer or you can print it
directly from IFS to a printer using SK routine.

Images and overlay can also be added.

It is a bit tricky and less powerful than Ibm Infoprint product but it's
free and native.

The choice depends on what is your final goal. We use this method
extensively for invoices and similar stuff.

Not only will it convert to PDF, it will let you add overlays, images,
barcodes... and it will also let you format the PDF with the page size
specific to your report. Very customizable and very inexpensive. And
pretty good support from what I've heard.. ;)
