We need more info about the logic in the program.
Is there an unconditional write of the header each time?
Not sure what you mean by "in a single sign-on".
Is it a program that stays open or is the exit of the program a "return"?
Your mention of using Ops-Nav to delete the file and still having multiple
headers?
Specifically - how and when is the file created.
If the file already exists, then is there logic to only add detail and not
add a header?
Do you want multiple sets of detail if program called multiple times?

Subject: Mystery of the IFS
I am having a problem using the IFS. I am using an RPG program to create a
CSV file. The file has headers followed by the data. If I run the program
multiple times in a single sign on, the headers multiple, meaning each time
I run the program, a new header is added to the file followed by the data.
The headers are added to the beginning of the file, resulting in multiple
header lines followed by the data. This occurs even if I use Ops-Nav to
delete the file before I run it a second or more times. Does anyone have
any idea what is happening?
Thanks,
Marvin
