From the Manuel:
"The CURDATE function returns a date based on a reading of the time-of-day
clock when the SQL statement is executed at the current server. The value
returned by the CURDATE function is the same as the value returned by the
CURRENT DATE special register.
The CURRENT_DATE special register should be used for maximal portability."

I might download those PDF's but I would just "put them on a shelf in
case". IBM updates Knowledge Center quite frequently and it's irksome
when someone uses old documentation.
I walked around the office after hours and discarded all printed RPG
manuals because I was tired of people limiting themselves to stuff in a V3
manual.

If you don't already have it, I'd highly recommend that you download the
SQL Reference and SQL Programming PDFs for your OS version.

Grab them before IBM decides no one really needs the PDFs anymore.
Because, you know, you can easily find everything in KnowledgeCenter.

Is there a function in SQL that will give you the current date?
