When I taught RPG for the AS/400 when it was a new system, I recommended Bryan Myers' book on RPG.

It was excellent for learning the language, step by step. And from the occasional articles I've seen, and the book contents of later editions, he keeps it up to date with the improvements and changes in the language.

Even if you use something else, I recommend this book.

Robert Cozzi's book at the time was more useful --in my opinion!--- as a good reference.

Here's a link to MC Press where you can review the books:

LAB400 has training - https://www.lab400.com/

There was a training set called ATS (Automated Training Systems) that
many
companies used, but all I found in google was in the UK

Some of the LAB400 stuff for IBM i may be a little dated: "RPG
Modernization with WDSC" !!?? - and anything with iSeries in the
title raises questions.

For the record, the ATS (USA) self-study courses can be found here:
http://www.ibmuser.com/ – maybe they need to focus on their Google
rankings . . . Ironically, it appears LAB400.COM are also resellers
of ATS courses in the USA.

Hope this helps.

Okay. I thought about this earlier, but didn't post it.

Manta Technologies (www.mantatech.com)

I don't think anyone has mentioned it previously, but I could be wrong.
