Barbara,

Is the _QRNU_XMLSAX array only valid in a debug session?

So it's not like the SQLCA that gets generated into an SQLRPGLE program; as
far as being accessible by the program code?

When I try to compile a program with this line of code it fails...
eventName = _QRNU_XMLSAX(event);

RNF7030 The name or indicator QRNU_XM... is not defined.

Apparently neither RDi nor the compiler like the leading underscore...

I was thinking I could update the code Jon provided a link to, to use the
generated array instead of a hard coded one :)

Anybody got a list of the values shown in debug for the various XML-SAX
event ID's?
*XML_START_ELEMENT
*XML_CHARS
*XML_END_ELEMENT
ect...

Named constants are nice in the source, but I need to tie those back to
the
integer values I see in debug.

Add DEBUG(*XMLSAX) to your H spec, and then you'll get an array called
_QRNU_XMLSAX generated into your module.

If your variable is called "event", you can get the event name like this:

===> eval _QRNU_XMLSAX(event)

EVAL _qrnu_xmlsax(event)
_QRNU_XMLSAX(EVENT) = 'CHARS '

Or you can see all the events by just eval'ing the array.

===> eval _QRNU_XMLSAX

EVAL _qrnu_xmlsax
_QRNU_XMLSAX(1) = 'ATTR_UCS2_REF '
_QRNU_XMLSAX(2) = 'ATTR_NAME '
_QRNU_XMLSAX(3) = 'ATTR_PREDEF_REF '
...
