One potential solution would be to define one data structure with all the
fields you are reading in.

Then define a second data structure mapped to the three data structures.
Map a pointer to the first. You read in all the fields but can access
through the other structure.but I suspect the reason for all this is you
don't want to type out the other full data structure and want to bring in
all the fields instead of what you need.
