I have not used ArdGate, but if you get hung up, download a FREE trial of our RPG2SQL Integrator product and take a look at it if you're open to supported commercial solutions.

subject: RPG Cross-Platform to SQL Server

Is anybody using embedded SQL in RPG to perform a cross-platform call to a stored procedure on MS SQL Server. If so, how are you accomplishing that?

We have a free middleware tool (an *ARDPGM that works with
WRKRDBDIRE) to allow us to use embed SQL in our RPG programs to open cursors in a cross-platform situation with MS SQL Server, but I am having trouble getting a stored procedure call to work in the same situation. So, I was wondering if there is something special about how the stored procedure or the call needs to be set up or if maybe we need a different middleware tool.

Thanks for any hints or tips you can give me.

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
