Indeed. If there's any possibility that you might occasionally have
answers to somebody else's questions (it even happens once in a great
while with me, although more often than not, somebody else has beaten me
to it by the time I see the question and post the answer), then we're
stronger with you than without you.
Of course, if the whole programming profession has left you wanting to
(as George Washington so famously put it) "retire to the backcountry and
live in a wigwam," or you want to have nothing to do with any technology
more advanced than a Linotype or a steam locomotive, I can sympathize; I
get that way a lot myself.
